Social media is fun. I like it. I use it. Also, I’m good at it.
I like things that are bad for me – like wine, coffee and cheesecake.
And I like some things that are good for me too – like trampolining, raspberries and reading.
I have a 10 year old brother who likes to cuddle me because I’m “softer” than his other sister (true story – for reasons why I’m softer, see above).
I have a 27 year old sister who I still make “unbreakable pinky swears” with.
What’s this got to do with my business?
Not much. But I bet it makes me seem a little bit more human, it probably made you smile a little bit, and, with a little bit of luck, you already feel a bit of a connection to me – even if we haven’t met!
You see, that’s what I do for you. I am a social media engagement specialist – or, in plain English, I help you talk (and listen!) to your customers online. I humanise you online to the people who want the things you’re selling.
Or that’s what I did, anyway.
Since then, I’ve moved from London back to my home town in Western Australia to spend a bit more time with family. I do a bit of communications work for my local council, run my own online business (www.wheatbeltbeads.com) and am doing promotional work for a local wildlife project (www.handsforearth.com) on a voluneer basis.
