It all started back in the late 1990’s with a promotion to a PA for a marketing team in the fashion industry. I was hooked. Marketing was the most exciting area of business I had every experienced and I was darn good at it (if I don’t say so myself)! So I immersed myself in it during the day and studied it by night. Changing jobs getting promoted and having ideas and strategies that were way more practical and affordable than my bosses, I decided to go it alone and become self employed.
Fast forward to the mid 2000’s and social media could no longer be ignored, so this too I immersed myself into. LinkedIn was hands down my favourite. Mostly because it was so direct and not a ‘build it and they will come’ platform. I was then offered the opportunity in 2013 to study an intensive 12 month application only LinkedIn Ninja Certification. Upon completion I was dubbed by the other eight qualified Ninja’s as the LinkedIn Ninja Down Under and awarded exclusivity for this country. Loving this platform as much as I do, I decided to follow my own advice to business owners and niche myself. Therefore since March 2014 LinkedIn is my specialty and I couldn’t be happier.
Withajay Marketing Australia (that’s Jillian spelled with a J) is now exclusively a LinkedIn training and consulting company and a Certified LinkedIn Ninja Partner. With the help of the American based Master Ninja and my Australian assistant we set up individual profiles and design LinkedIn marketing strategies. I also conduct regular workshops in capital cities around Australia in addition to in house customised training program written specifically for the corporation that has hired me to train their staff. The results of an in house training are designed to be completed in stages, so that each participant can continue the ‘homework’ in between sessions and the staff aren’t away from there main jobs for too long at time. The results from the in house training as well as the workshops are fantastic and personally very rewarding.
